Ora Mei 正美 - Right Now is Beautiful.

The name Ora Mei 正美 is inspired by the two cultures close to my heart, my two sanctuaries in this beautiful world. In Italian, Ora translates to ‘right now’. In Chinese, 正美 stands for ‘just beautiful’.

​

I'm a Chinese living in the Italian Dolomites along with my husband Cristiano, our baby boy Ming, lots of cone-bearing evergreens (pines, larches, firs...) and wild birds and deers who like to eat off my berries.

​

After years of studying and working in the city, we have decided to return to live in this small town in the alps where Cristiano grew up, choosing the quiet path over the hustle and bustle of the fast lane.

It’s in little moments of joy that we feel most alive.

Through Ora Mei, I wish to share my love of a rustic and uncomplicated life in the Italian Alps (Dolomites) with a beautiful community of people who share in my belief of what happiness really looks like.

In this slow-living boutique, you can find handmade pieces, timeless homewares that fills everyday living with much needed coziness and joy.
